CREEPY OLD CRYPT is a monthly show/podcast created and hosted by Rocco Botte and Kevin Bushong, located on Rocco's personal Youtube channel. The show mostly centers around the Disney theme parks, big and small - from the attractions to the turkey legs; they cover anything that has a story worth telling. As Rocco describes it, the "show is just us remembering old, odd Disney stuff we remember from long ago (or just recently)." The show generally takes place in locations mostly relevant to the topic.

As of recently, however, they have also covered Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park, California, and Universal Studios Hollywood in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles County, California.

Dine here at the Blue Bayou Restaurant - right inside the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction in Disneyland, CA. Enjoy New Orleans/Cajun-style entrees with a bayou themed-ambience. There may even be a few awkward dates behind you and funny boat passersby shouting things while you eat!

1."Throw Me A Roll" (Pirates of the Caribbean)

"This month's episode is about Pirates of The Caribbean and everything around it- hosted from the Blue Bayou lagoon restaurant inside the ride in Anaheim. We sit down for some steaks as we talk about the strange history of the attraction. Sorry you have to see us eat. Well, you don't have to watch it. Maybe skip this. I dunno."

2. "Daddy, Is He In Heaven?" (Star Tours)

"This episode of CREEPY OLD CRYPT is about Star Tours, a long beloved ride in Disneyland (among other parks). There's a surprising amount of layers of weird stuff attached to this ride- we attempt to dig beneath them all from our seat amidst Tomorrowland. In the coming days, we hope to get this show on iTunes too. Working on it!"

3."The Fish Stay The Same" (Frontierland)

"This episode of CREEPY OLD CRYPT takes you down to the old country town of Frontierland. Kevin and Rocco talk about their favorite weird and interesting parts of this quiet little corner of Disneyland. GIDDYUP"

4."I Am A Real American" (Disneyland Paris)

"In this episode of CREEPY OLD CRYPT, we talk about a land far away- Disneyland Paris... and all of its beautiful Parisian secrets!"

5."Seasons Of The Vine" (California Adventure)

"In this episode of CREEPY OLD CRYPT, we reminisce over one of the biggest corporate blunders in theme park history. California Adventure sucked. But it got better. Listen to us talk about this misguided park's bizarre journey."

6."Calling All Ghosts" (Haunted Mansion)

Ewscripps

The much debated "Nightmare Before Christmas" re-theming of the Haunted Mansion

"Just in time for Halloween, we dive into one of the most beloved Disney attractions of all time- the weird and scary Haunted Mansion. One of the most layered pieces of pop culture history brings us our longest episode of this show yet!"

7."Try Our Gumbo" (The Food Episode)

"In this VERY SPECIAL episode of Creepy Old Crypt, we talk about all our favorite foods from Disneyland and beyond. Get ready to get hungry."

8."Inlaws And Fruitcake" (The Holidays Episode)

"Heat up the hot chocolate and sit by the tree, to hear Rocco and Kevin tell tale of all the holiday overlays and treats in Disneyland tradition..."

9."These Bars Are Rubber" (Mickey's Toontown)

"CREEPY OLD CRYPT is finally back. We missed our January episode due to total BS reasons, but we're making up for lost time with this Toontown special, commemorating this land's 25th anniversary. Do you love or hate Toontown? We don't even know ourselves. But listen to us talk about it for the next hour or whatever."

10."A Billion Rubber Snakes" (Indiana Jones Adventure)

"CREEPY OLD CRYPT is me (Rocco) and Kevin talking about old weird Disneyland (and other parks) stories and dusting off old things we remember. And what better place is there to dig things up than an ancient temple? At long last we talk about one of our favorite attractions ever: Indiana Jones and The Temple of the Forbidden Eye."

11."Where's The Restroom?" (Guests of Disneyland)

Ca-times

A Toon Town Rumble

"In this episode we talk about good, weird, and uncomfortable experiences with the other guests at Disneyland & other parks. We also talk celebrity encounters and the time someone decided to paint Tomorrowland brown... and we're not talking Tomorrowland '98 am I right ***HIGH FIVES the MASSIVE CROWD OF PEOPLE THAT GOT THAT JOKE** **PATS MYSELF ON THE BACK FOR BRILLIANT COMMENTARY** **WINS STREAMY AWARD FOR BEST WEBSERIES** **MARRIES KATHLEEN KENNEDY AND CONTROLS STAR WARS AND FINALLY ADDS MARA JADE AND ZUCKUSS TO EPISODE XII ROSTER***"

12."Inside Out" (Walt Disney World w/ Scott Herriott)

"This month's episode is something new for us- a special guest! Scott Herriott was the host of the show "Walt Disney World - Inside Out" back in the early 90's. Join us as we talk about Disney World memories, revisit some of Scott's later days on TechTV, and... sasquatch too? Wow. Be sure to go to http://squatchfilms.com to see more of Scott's work!"

13."Good Innotentions" (The Carousel Building)

The "future" part of the "Carousel of Progress" - Painfully late 80s/early 90's.

"Carousel of Progress! America Sings! Innoventions! Chewbacca? Get ready, all you architecture nuts... this month, we're talking about A BUILDING! Well, it's actually a lot more than that. In Disneyland in California (and Disney World in Florida too) there's a big rotating building. But what is its purpose, and what weird stuff has been in there over the decades? Let's talk about it as the imperial soldiers march on behind us, signaling endless rotating-building-despair."

14."The Dole Whip Experience" (Enchanted Tiki Room)

"It's the 55th anniversary of Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room, so we decided to talk about the show, share some funny stories, and go into our favorite parts of this historical landmark in entertainment. Oh and we also hear kids scream in a restaurant (yeah sorry about that audio)."

15."Old Timey Phones (Main Street U.S.A)

"In this episode of CREEPY OLD CRYPT, the show where we dust off our favorite old eccentric Disneyland stuff, we talk about the very first thing you'll see in the park... Main Street U.S.A.! What kind of stuff lurks in this seemingly pleasant town?"

16."Orange And Green Guns" (Disneyland Souvenirs)

ToyGuns-081110-AVP

Green Guns

"In the latest episode of Creepy Old Crypt, the show where we dust off old weird Disneyland stuff and talk about it... we discuss all the crap we bought at the park, both back then and recently."

17."Into The Mines" (Knott's Berry Farm)

"We take a slight detour from Disney this time, and speak of another California theme park milestone: Knott’s Berry Farm. To the food, the mine ride, the mysterious Indian shamans, and the food- we talk about all our favorite weird little things in this bizarre old park."

18."The Starcade Is Dead" (Tomorrowland)

"This month's episode is on the general, and most sad, subject of Tomorrowland in Disneyland. What used to be the most kinetic living land is now a graveyard. Here's over an hour of talk about it, hosted from the entrance of a closed attraction. Which is closed. Yes, it's closed. Sorry. It's closed."

19."Too Much Neil Patrick Harris" (Disneyland Shows)

"In this episode, we talk about all the shows (like fireworks and parades and stuff) that have played throughout Disneyland over the years. Some stuff ruled and some stuff sucked. Watch us revisit this stuff along the Rivers of America."

20."Trapped On A Boat With A Jazz Band" (Disneyland Event Stories)

"We're finally back for 2019, and this time we thought we would tell stories of Disneyland "special events" we had been to. Lots of weird after-hours experiences and also my head is on fire"

21."Country Bear Massacre" (Critter Country)

IMG 3333

Good-Bye Country Bears

"We're in a secluded area of Disneyland tonight to talk about everything that used to be down at the end of the river. This area is currently called Critter Country but also used to be Bear Country, and before that it was an Indian Village. Let's talk about everything we remember, and also a whole bunch of movie stuff that is totally unrelated because we can't stay focused"

22."Sinking In Small World" (Fantasyland)

"We're painfully behind on Crypt episodes, so we're gonna try to have way more this month to catch up! This time, we realized we hadn't talked much about Fantasyland, the most whimsical area of any respective Disney park. From the little dark rides to Small World to the Matterhorn and a whole bunch of other stuff. There's a lot to take in so STRAP IN BUDDY"

23."Punch It" (Star Wars Galaxy's Edge)

"In this episode, we finally get to fully review the brand new land at Disneyland, Star Wars Galaxy's Edge. We weren't originally gonna record it inside the land itself, but nobody was checking our wristbands so we just took over the entrance. We had a lot of thoughts. I know Star Wars pretty much took over this channel for the past couple weeks, but if you're into parks at all you'll still probably be interested hearing about this one. Or not. Life goes on."

24."Waterworld Never Dies" (Universal Studios Hollywood)

"For this month's episode, we escape Disney once again and go to the legendary Universal Studios in Hollywood- one of the only places that exists as a theme park AND fully functioning film/TV studio. There's an electricity to the place for that very reason- but does it hold up as a theme park? Let's revisit and reminisce."

25."Split The Monte Cristo" (New Orleans Square)

"We're going on record to say that New Orleans Square in Disneyland is our favorite land in any theme park. We finally get to sit down, throw back some mint juleps and talk about it."

26."...Play It!" (Disney's Biggest Failures)

"Here’s a discussion on all the biggest failures that ever happened in the Disney theme parks. We also fail ourselves at keeping within the permitted areas to stand at California Adventure (sorry captain america)"

27. "The Long Awaited Epcotsode" (EPCOT)

No-climbing-sign1

No Climbing the Mexican Pavilion

"Our most requested episode topic ever, about one of our favorite parks ever. Enjoy this double length EPCOT episode, where we talk about one of the most bizarre and ambitious projects by any company, ever. Is it still as spectacular as it once was, or is it only but a ghost?"

28. "Early To Bed, Early To Rise" (Rise Of The Resistance)

"After a hiatus, Creepy Old Crypt is BACK! And now that an entirely new mindblower attraction has opened, we gotta talk about it. RISE OF THE RESISTANCE opened in Disneyland's Galaxy's Edge. We went there a few times and couldn't believe it. Here's a long vid of us talking about it"

29. "Time Stands Still" (Dead Attractions Discussion)

"For this VERY SPECIAL episode of Creepy Old Crypt, we developed a BRAND NEW HOLOGRAPHIC TECHNOLOGY to record together while maintaining social distance. You may not even notice it, but Kevin and I (Rocco) are not even in the same room. Using this revolutionary tech, we discuss our favorite theme park attractions that are dead, torn down, missing, or lost."

30. "Worlds That Never Were" (Unbuilt Attractions)

"On this episode, Kevin and I (again using holographic social distance tech) discuss theme park rides and attractions that were planned but never saw the light of day. Are there any you think we didn't cover? Let us kn-WAIT WE FORGOT MUSEUM OF THE WEIRD"

31. "The Return Plan" (Theme Park Reopening Discussion)

"When can we go back to theme parks? And what do we want to do the most when we go? In yet another in-studio episode, we talk about the state of parks reopening. What do you think?"

32. "Our Top Attractions Of All Time" (And Worst Ones Too)

"It's been a while since the last Creepy Old Crypt- alas, the parks in California are still closed. In our most hopeless hour, we fight back with positive memories and throw out our top 10 favorite attractions of all time. We give our five worst ones too. Guess which list Superstar Limo is on"

33. "Total Passholes" (Annual Pass Discussion)

"Me and Kevin both had annual passes to go to theme parks for well over a decade. But is that era coming to an end? We talk about the situation- this episode might be kinda too much inside baseball for some people who aren't in California or Florida or whatever but it was still a fun discussion idk"

34. "The Parks Are Open Again" (And We Went To Them)

"At long last, the theme parks in California are open- how has the experience been? Is it fun or is it weird? Kevin and I went and we got LOTS to talk about dude"

35. "Wrath Of The Bugs" (Avengers Campus)

"Creepy Old Crypt is back and recording inside a theme park for the first time in like a year and a half! This month we went to check out the new Marvel-land-thing at California Adventure: The Avengers Campus! Kevin and I are joined by Rachel this month as we try to navigate what we think of this new area. We're not THAT big of Marvel fans comparatively, so did we get anything out of it or was it a dud?"

36. Dollywood & Tour Stories

"It's been a while! Creepy Old Crypt returns as we talk about our trip to the legendary Dollywood up in the Smokey Mountains! We also share stories from our tour that led us to Dolly Parton's fabled place full of roller coasters and Jesus Christ Himself."

37. TOMBSTONE ARIZONA SPECIAL with Star Wars Hotel Talk and other stuff too!

"We're back on a (hopefully??) regular schedule with CREEPY OLD CRYPT out on location! Only this time, we're not at the RIGHT location. Well, at least not the original one. We talk about our time spent in the old cowboy town of Tombstone, Arizona... and record this episode in front of the replica of its famous Bird Cage Theater nestled in California's Knott's Berry Farm! Don't worry, it gets more complicated! We also talk about the Star Wars hotel, the Disney neighborhood thing they're building in Palm Springs, and MORE!"

38. Into The Star Tunnel (Space Mountain)

"Kevin and Rocco are BACK in the most "Epcot-core" part of Disneyland to talk about one of Tomorrowland's most famous rides- this episode is about Space Mountain and all our stories surrounding it. This episode was supposed to go out last month, but was neigh impossible to upload from the road. So you get two this month. Please don't get mad."

39. A Visit To Defunctland (Kevin Perjurer Interview)

"This episode of Creepy Old Crypt features… the wrong Kevin! But we think we can forgive him as his channel, @Defunctland , is one of our favorite YouTube channels of all time. Mr. Perjurer has done documentaries on all of our favorite dead attractions and theme park oddities- it was an honor to sit back, chill, and reflect on all of it!"

40. Stuff We Hate At Theme Parks

"On Creepy Old Crypt, we like to keep it positive. Except this episode. It's all negativity this time, folks, as we go down the list of things at theme parks that drive us nuts. Get ready for eye-rolling hot-takes as we're joined by our friend Johnny and a VERY loud cannon."

41. D23 Expo 2022 Stories and Hot Takes

"Kevin and I went to D23 Expo 2022, the bi-annual official Disney convention, to check out all the parks-related stuff. It was a fun con, but the message may have been... mixed. Here's our two cents (and stories) on everything we experienced there!"

42. Trains, Trains, And Automobiles (Theme Park Train Special)

"Here comes two boy foamin' for the latest CREEPY OLD CRYPT episode ALL about trains! Recorded at the Main Street train station at Disneyland, we recall all our favorite train-related tales from theme parks all over the world. This is also our first episode shot in 4K HDR so you can REALLY see how ugly we are."

43. Luigi Burger (Super Nintendo World)

"We're in SUPER NINTENDO WORLD at Universal Studios Hollywood for our first of three new episodes (all done in one lengthy theme park marathon across three iconic California theme parks). Us being "GAMERZ" we have been so excited for this Mario-themed land to open. We find a quiet corner of the Mushroom Kingdom and give our thoughts and feelings on the whole thing..."

44. Let Freedom Ring (Independence Hall, Knott's Berry Farm)

"The Southern Californian theme park gauntlet CONTINUES... but this time, we're outside the gates. One of the weirdest things at any theme park is Knott's Berry Farm's perfect replica of Independence Hall that isn't even inside the park. It's majestically huge, full of potential ghosts, and Nicolas Cage filmed there. If that isn't enough to get you to to check out this episode, nothing will. Do it for your country."

45. The One That Got Us In Disney Jail (Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway)

"The final episode of our triple theme park gauntlet is also our most dangerous. We're in a quiet, grassy corner of the new Toontown at Disneyland to talk about Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway, the newest ride in the park! It all concludes with an incident that got us detained by security... so what happened? It all ends with a mouse!"

46. The Best and Worst Theme Park Ride Queues Of All Time

"The wait is over - well, not if you're in line, though. But Kevin and I are gonna sit down on Main Street and hash out our top 5 favorite ride queues to line up in... and our 5 worst too! Which queues make us excited to be standing in one spot for an hour? And which makes us want to die?"

170506-Cedar-Point-Boneville-Depot

Boneville, USA

47. Cedar Point and The Journey to Boneville

"We're back for an all new Creepy Old Crypt episode from in the studio with special guest Johnny! We needed a coaster expert like him in this episode... because we went to one of the best coaster parks in the country, Cedar Point! But did the place offer any charm besides the the thrill rides? Listen to our stories from our fun day at this legendary park!"

48. The Final Flight of The GALACTIC STARCRUISER

"We told you we would get into the Star Wars hotel- and in its final days, we at last deliver. For this very special episode of Creepy Old Crypt, we found a way into the Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser for its final days of operation and tell you everything we saw, experienced, ate, and engaged in combat with. Join us for our first, and last, voyage aboard the Halcyon..."

49. Which Halloween Haunt Is The Most Messed Up?

"We traveled to all the biggest theme park haunts in the nation: Halloween Horror Nights at Universal, Knott's Scary Farm, and of course, an abandoned local childhood theme park in San Diego too. Rocco, Kevin, and Johnny gather in the Mega64 studio to discuss which horror-themed event ended up being the scariest..."

50. Long Live The Country Bears

"Last night, the original Country Bears show from 1971 closed down at Walt Disney World. But around 23 years ago, it had already closed down in our home state at Disneyland! Kevin and I sit down near the ruins of the California version and talk about this legendary animatronic show- our memories of it, our thoughts on its replacement, and the songs we plan to belt out on camera any moment now."

MV5BZTczMjRlNGYtMTUzYy00NjVmLThmOTYtM2VkMmVjODg1YzE4XkEyXkFqcGdeQXVyNjUwNzk3NDc@

In this episode, Creepy Old Crypt finds out on-stream that Akira Toriyama, mangaka and designer of many beloved characters (Dragon Ball, Dr. Slump, Dragon Quest, Chrono Trigger, and many more), had passed. He will sorely be missed (April 5, 1955 - March 1, 2024).

51. Our HOTTEST Takes On Theme Parks

"Join us in the studio this week as we go down a list of our hottest takes on theme park stuff! Most are positive (that thing you hate? Well we like it!) but some are real negative (That thing you love SUCKS!). Hot takes are kind of the lowest form of internet content, but we're not above being petty so leave your hot takes in the comments below too."
